Soinuenea Fundazioa has organized the 20th Traditional Music Conference, which will address the Jew's harp. Experts from different European countries will gather in Oiartzun on the 13th April to present their work on this small instrument. In the morning symposium, Alessandro Zolt and Harm J. Linsen will talk about European and Asian mouth harps. Afterwards, Francis Olivier Almeida, Xoxé Vázquez Che and Juan Mari Beltran will present their research on Galizia and the Basque Country.
In the afternoon, Xoxé Vázquez Che will conduct a workshop on how to prepare jaw harps. Finally, the players will give a concert for the wide audience.
OBSERVATIONS: Attending the program symposium (lectures, meal and workshop) will cost 15 euros, including lunch. To attend as a listener, the completed registration form and a proof of the payment must be sent to komunikazio@soinuenea.eus. The registration period ends on the 22th March.
In case someone needs a place to in Oiartzun, the closest to the Conference venue is the Elizalde Hotel.
