Description
The snapping of fingers can be considered as a sound instrument or idiophone.
Way of playing
When you press the fingers forcefully against the thumb, when released they hit the palm of the hand, producing a peal.
History
When dancing fandango or arin-arin, the dancers imitated the castanets by snapping their fingers (Donostia, 1952, 291).
